Based in The Netherlands, FFWD Fast Forward® is a young high-end brand, specialising in high speed wheels. Carbon only. Period. FFWD’s goal is to deliver fast, lightweight and durable wheels to the Road, Cyclocross, Track & Triathlon markets. Our primary focus is on outstanding craftsmanship, quality and design.
All spoked wheels are laced and hand built in Holland. Each set of wheels is meticulously put together, trued to the ‘Mµ’ and released into the world of speed with a unique serial number.
DARC rim technology:
FFWD DARC technology is short for ‘Double Arc’ which refers to the profile of the rim. The revolutionary DARC profile improves aerodynamics dramatically by reducing the drag. Air has the characteristic to stick to its surface so by creating a negative arc section the air will be compressed more at the positive section. This will increase the pressure just like on the topside of an airfoil. Increased pressure results in a faster airflow and less resistance on the wheel which in-turn reduces the drag.
