When Mondraker sat down to write their design brief for the Dusty there was one word that sat at the very top of their list of priorities – versatility. The Spanish brand were keen to appeal to the broadest variety of users, with the inclusion of an efficient e-bike hub motor enhancing the bike’s appeal and usability to an even wider group of potential cyclists. The addition of the of the Mahle X20 motor and its ability to assist the rider over difficult terrain allowed them to get the most out of the bike, providing riders with a platform to pedal further, faster and with way more ‘fun factor’ thanks to increased speeds and capability.

As the ever-increasing trend of bike-packing continues to take hold we’re seeing a steady growth in bikes brands offering a gravel bike with motor assistance within their range. The Dusty provides all the range you’d ever need for multi-day adventures and that extra assistance means you can be a little more liberal with what you carry making your adventures that bit more comfortable. The Dusty’s 350Wh internal battery means you can travel up to 180km depending on the level of assistance you dial in and the altitude gain you rack-up and there’s even a 171Wh range extender (sold separately) to further enhance the range of the bike.
