Gravel Geometry:
Gravel throws unique challenges at riders, therefore it demands unique frame characteristics. Our gravel geometry draws on our endurance geometry, which derives directly from our performance road race series, meaning handling, responsiveness and race-ready positioning are paramount. Gravel and endurance both call for a longer wheelbase than a performance road bike, which you'll see on both the Krypton and Dark Matter.
The Dark Matter features a higher bottom bracket and adjusted headtube angle and raked fork to adjust our hallmark precision handling to a wider tyre size windows (up to 57mm); both for ride quality and to avoid toe overlap on the twists and turns of more technical rides. Gravel geometry also features a slightly more upright position, providing a higher degree of comfort on rougher surfaces and long-haul routes.

Argon 18's fit system offers size-specific geometries to provide optimal performance and positioning for all sizes, guaranteeing no rider left behind.
Our smallest bike frames offer the same ride feel as our largest frames. In fact, our XL frames have exceptional stiffness without excess weight, to avoid the 'dead' feel found in some larger frames. XS and XXS retain their inherent lightweight qualities, but without excess stiffness, avoiding harsh ride quality.
BB drop, chainstay length, and wheelbase are extensively adapted for each size, providing optimised handling for every frame.

• More than one fork to match frame sizing
For every model, 2 fork sizes are developed (1 fork for smaller sizes and 1 fork for larger sizes) to assure balanced handling and avoid toe overlap. Steerer angle, fork length, and fork rake are optimised to assure the best fork trail angle and handling for every size.

We offer sizing from XXS to XL in all of our road and gravel bikes, with each size approached individually from a design and performance perspective.
